/Battlefield 6
“Who was that?” It doesn’t matter.
Modern first-person shooters have a realism problem.
Every big release promises grounded, immersive warfare, then throws in celebrity cameos and skins that pull you right out of the fight. Players have been asking for something different.
With Battlefield 6, we decided to lean into that tension and flip it. With Posters and social films, we teased a loud, celebrity-packed launch film, exactly the kind of ad fans were dreading, making everyone think Battlefield was about to follow the trend.
Then, 24 hours later, EA dropped the real live action film.
The celebrities are blown off the map in the first twenty seconds, and the spotlight shifts to a gritty squad of true Battlefield soldiers in raw, game-accurate, “Only in Battlefield” combat. A rug pull for the category, and a love letter to the players who wanted immersion back.

Then, just when fans thought Battlefield was done with surprises, we dropped a new film announcing a free to play game mode and celebrating the legacy of this iconic franchise, carried by the chant of the Battlefield theme song.
