AirPods
/ Bounce

I hate doing the same commute every day. Don’t you?

Bounce turns the monotony of the everyday commute into a stage for freedom, inspired by the then-new AirPods feature: wireless charging. Directed by Oscar Hudson and choreographed by acrobat Yoann Bourgeois, the film channels the physical gags of Buster Keaton and the whimsy of silent French cinema.

We wanted to capture freedom in a way that spoke directly to wireless charging and hands-free commands of the new AirPods. Up there, in the air. That idea became the catalyst for a surreal city where everything gives way and movement becomes play. Every stunt was done practically, a challenge I always recommend, so physical comedy could meet precision choreography and create a spot that feels both classic and new.

Social Unities

For social, we wanted to push the idea of freedom further with short videos that broke out of the feed’s frame, creating a glasses-free 3D effect built to stop the scroll.

Bounce went on to win Best in Show at the ADC Awards, collect multiple Gold and Graphite Cubes, earn D&AD Pencils, and take home a Gold Lion+ at Cannes. It was also nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Commercial.

Behind the Scenes

Building this city block meant we had to rethink physics. We built sets where you never knew what might send you flying, or which street pole could bend. Choreographing acrobatics to the rhythm of the everyday turned the entire production into a playground. Honestly, it was pure fun, check it out ;)
